Illutron - Art Ship

illutron’s Collaborative Interactive Art Studio is located in the Copenhagen South Harbor on Teglholmen. The ship is the workspace of illutron artists and home to our projects. Visits to the ship are encouraged, and we have an open “house” every Saturday at 1500 where visitors can tour the ship, learn about our projects, meet with artists over coffee and participate in current projects. Bent Haugland

Christian Liljedahl
Is an artist creating installations and doing performance art. His passion is in exploring possibilities on and within the water. He is the expert seaman of the illutron barge, knowledgeable in her history, and is a skilled craftsman and mechanic.

Johan B. Lindegaard
He is co-starter of the copenhagen hacker space Labitat and a vivid constructor of virtual second life environments for multiple clients. He uses the barge as a playground, verging into the realm of physical constructions.

Jonas Jongejan
Specializes in artistic and esthetic programming using a combination of computer vision and realtime projection. Primarily for cutting edge theatrical shows and dance performances. Among many things he played a core role on one of our robot installation.

Is a teacher of interactive art in Humanities and Technology at Roskilde University. He manages many of our larger projects, and loves to build simple robots from scrap electronics.

Peter Madsen
He built three submarines, all of which have called illutron their home at some point, including the world's largest civilian built submarine, the Nautilus. He is currently working with Copenhagen Suborbitals to develop, build, and launch a rocket.
