Half Machine and Illutron built an interactive experience machine called the Explosion Village. The installation was created for Roskilde Festival 08.

Artists from Illutron were key players in the co creation of Explosion Village, the last big bang of the Half Machine projects, where hundreds of artists collaborated 03-08. www.halfmachine.org

The village is built around the Explosion Tower which looks like a mix of a derrick and the Eiffel Tower. It is surrounded by luminous stones, and when you make cool grooves with others on these stones, shooting flames are released from the top of tower out into the sky. The village also contains “dream tents” where you can go for a trip into an acid-coloured dreamland.
