The Explosion Village will be a combination of sound, light, fire and water installations at Roskilde Festival this year.
“Create rhythms on the luminous stones
The tower is surrounded by luminous stones which react to your touch. The big and luminous stones will change colour when you touch or hit it. Then your percussive input plays back to you from the built-in sound installation in the tower.
A computer programme transforms the sound and registers the rhythmic sequences from all the stones. When you play together with others, the sound is recorded by electronic operating units and a shooting flame is released from the top of tower out into the festival sky.
“Dream tents” and sitting furniture are spread out around the tower and the luminous stones. Inside the tents you find chill-out areas where you can go for a trip into an acid-coloured dreamland. “
